PATHWAYS

Responsible Sourcing

Responsible sourcing begins with understanding where goods, services & materials come from, how procurement decisions are made, & where opportunities exist to support local suppliers. Across Atlas Pearls’ operations, procurement influences cost, reliability, logistics, community economic value & the resilience of our supply chain.

At this stage, our Responsible Sourcing pathway is focused primarily on improving procurement visibility and prioritising local sourcing where practical. Local procurement helps keep economic value closer to the communities and regions connected to our operations, while also supporting more responsive and resilient supply chains.

Some specialised equipment, materials and technical inputs are not available locally and must be sourced from other parts of Indonesia or from international suppliers. In these cases, Atlas Pearls works with suppliers that can meet operational requirements for quality, reliability, compliance and continuity of supply.

This reporting period has helped clarify the next layer of sourcing information needed across the business, including more consistent data on supplier location, procurement categories and local spend. This provides a stronger foundation for understanding our procurement footprint and for developing more structured supplier expectations over time.
