Weaving

Weaving plays an important role in areas of Indonesia, not only as a traditional art but also as a source of income with the cloth produced being highly sought after by tourists and collectors alike.

The cloth produced in Nusa Tenggara Timur is made by local women and can take up to one year to produce.

The Company provided materials and labour to build 10 weaving stations donated to 2 different weaving groups.

These tools were designed to provide comfort and efficiency for the women and to help preserve this traditional way of life.
